Easily invite your trusted service providers to join naby. Simply tap the "Invite Provider" button in your profile menu and enter their contact details.

Adding Your Service to naby

Ready to join naby as a service provider? Here's your complete guide to creating a professional service listing that attracts customers.

Getting Started

First, you'll need to register for a naby account and complete your profile. Once that's done, you can add your service by:

Tapping the Services tab in the bottom navigation
Or going to your Profile and selecting "Your Services"
Then tap "Add Service" to get started

Required Information

You'll need to provide these essential details:

Service Name - Clear, descriptive name for your service
Description - Detailed explanation of what you offer
Categories - Choose up to 3 relevant categories
Phone Number - For customer contact
Service Address - Your business location

Address Privacy

You have flexibility with your address details:

You can exclude your house number for privacy
Or even just list your street name or general area
The system will still help customers find services near them
Choose the level of detail you're comfortable sharing

Professional Image (Highly Recommended)

Adding a high-quality image is highly recommended and significantly improves your service's visibility and appeal:

Services with images get significantly more views and inquiries
Use landscape-oriented photos for best results
Show your work, tools, or professional setup
Ensure good lighting and clear, professional appearance

Location Setting Tips

You can change your preferred location type (Current Location or Profile Address) under Account Settings on your Profile page. This setting determines whether naby uses your device's GPS location or your saved address when showing nearby services.

Search for services using keywords that match:

Service names
Service descriptions
Service categories

Service Category

Filter services by specific categories like Home Maintenance, Personal Care, Professional Services, and more to find exactly what you need.

Service Location

Filter services based on their physical location with distance options:

Within 5km
Within 20km
Within 50km

Services must have a registered business address within your selected radius to appear in results.

Review Location

Filter services based on where reviews are from with distance options:

Within 1km
Within 2km
Within 5km

This helps you find services that have been reviewed by people in your immediate neighborhood.

Review Filtering

When using the Review Location filter, you'll also get access to review filtering on service detail pages:

See reviews only from your selected radius
Focus on local experiences and feedback
Make decisions based on reviews from your neighborhood

This feature is only available when the Review Location filter is active.

You can combine multiple filters to narrow down your search. For example, use the search bar to find "plumber", select the "Home Maintenance" category, and set a location filter to find highly-rated plumbers near you with reviews from your neighbors.

Ranking System

Services are ranked using a sophisticated Bayesian average that balances both the rating score and the number of reviews. This ensures that high-quality services with more reviews appear higher in the listings.

Rating Calculation

Each service's rating is calculated as a weighted average that considers:

The average rating from all reviews
The total number of reviews
A minimum review threshold for reliability

Review Filtering

You can filter reviews based on location to see feedback from users in your area, helping you make decisions based on local experiences.

Understanding Ratings

A service with a slightly lower rating but many reviews might rank higher than a service with a perfect rating but very few reviews. This helps ensure you get recommendations based on well-established service quality.

Location Indicator

The Location Indicator appears in the app's header and provides important information about your current location status and network connectivity.

Status Display

The indicator shows your current location status:

Current location - Using your device's location
Address location - Using your saved address
Cached - Using previously saved location data
Location error - Unable to determine location
Location disabled - Location services are turned off
App is offline - No network connection

Interactive Features

Tap the Location Indicator to perform different actions based on its current state:

When location services are disabled: Opens device settings to enable location
When offline: Attempts to refresh network status (safe even in airplane mode)
When experiencing location errors: Tries to refresh your location
In normal states: Refreshes your location data
